Sri Lanka U19 Women registered a comprehensive victory over Australia U19 Women in the one-off Youth ODI played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the hosts produced a solid batting display to post 266 for 7 in 50 overs. Opener Sanjana Kavindi continued her fine run of form with a commanding innings of 92 off 121 deliveries, featuring 12 boundaries and a six. She anchored the innings with great maturity, setting the tone at the top of the order.

In the middle order, Rashmi Nethranjali compiled a steady 59 off 84 balls, striking 7 fours to ensure Sri Lanka maintained momentum throughout the innings. Their partnership and contributions from the lower order helped the home side finish with a competitive total of 266.
In reply, Australia U19 Women struggled to gain any momentum and were bowled out for just 86 runs, falling short by 180 runs. The Sri Lankan bowlers displayed excellent control and discipline, led by Limansa Thilakarathna and Shashini Gimhani, who claimed three wickets each to dismantle the Australian batting line-up.
