Asian Para Games in Korea Sanjaya, Maduranga win silver

Paralympics bronze medalist Pradeep Sanjaya and sprinter Dumeera Maduranga added two more silver medals to the Sri Lankan tally at the 13th Asian Para Games held at the Asiad Main Stadium, Incheon, Korea yesterday.

Sanjaya clocked 1 minute 58.68 seconds in the 800m men’s event (T36/46), while Maduranga clocked 12.40 seconds in the 100m (T44) to win the silver medal.

Sri Lanka is now in the 19th place with one gold, five silver and four bronze medals.

Today Pradeep Sanjaya will compete in his pet event 400m finals (T47) where he has earlier won a Paralympics bronze medal and World Championship silver medal for the event.
