Apna Perera clinched his maiden Men’s Single’s title when he beat Methwan Wijemanne in the final of the 109th National Tennis Championship at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Thursday.
The former Ananda College player beat Wijemanne 6-2, 6-0 in the final. In the semi-final Apna beat Thehan Wijemanne 6-1, 7-5.

Last year Apna was eliminated in the semi-final by Chathurya Nilaweera who ended up as the runner up to Ashen Silva. This time Ashen Silva was Knocked out in the quarter-final by Ganuka Fernando.
