Unbeaten Green Machine take on Donz on the 7th at Havelock Park
Isipathana College was made to sweat against the Josephians, however, the superior Green Machine managed to get the better out of an inexperienced Joes’ outfit, proving to display their dominance in the Schools Rugby circuit.

The Donz were pushed to the brink by Wesley College, however, the Black and Gold, Senanayakians managed to get over the line thanks to Skipper Jayathu Rajaratna.

This weekend, two unbeaten teams clash as the favorites will cement their place on the league table as front runners to win the group.
Isipathana is no doubt the favorite to get over the line against DS, however, writing off Asela’s chargers before they clash would not be a wise move.
The Tactician has managed to bring together a young bunch of coaches and build a team that looks potent in attack and solid in defense, but this will be the make-or-break test for the Donz.
Both backlines have dazzles, but the forwards haven’t lived up to their mark, both sets of forwards will no doubt need to bring their A-game, and if they manage to do so, we will be in for a cracker at the Park.

Battered and bruised Vidyartha take on Dharmaraja as they both seek to get their campaigns back on track on the 8th at Bogambara
Both Vidyartha and Dharmaraja were humbled by Royal and St. Peter’s respectively as neither were able to get into double figures in week 3.
Royal’s physicality was unmatched as Vidyartha fell like 9-pins.

St. Peter’s schooled Dharmaraja virtually at the same time! Dharmaraja had no answers to the boys from Bambalapitiya.

Vidyartha and Dharmaraja both know that nothing but a win would suffice as they clash, setting up a more balanced game for both teams.

Trinity takes on upbeat St. Peter’s at Pallekale on the 8th
What a game this builds up to be. St. Peter’s are unbeaten and will be gunning down to bring the Trinity Lions to their knees at home.
Trinity will be seeking to make it 2-wins in as many weeks as the well-rested Lions step out on their paddock for the first time this campaign.

Royal take on unbeaten Zahira on the 8th at the Royal Complex
Royal will be gunning for more of the same as they aim to dismantle yet another team with their well-conditioned forwards.
Surprisingly, not only the forwards but the three-quarters too stepped up to the plate against Vidyartha and they will be aiming for more of the same.
Zahira put on an all-round show, bringing down Science College with relative ease.

Zahira are one of the few unbeaten teams left in the Dialog Schools Rugby League but that tag will be under threat this weekend at the Complex.

Wesley takes on rested St. Anthony’s as the Eagles aim to bounce back while the Double Blue search for that elusive first win on the 9th at the Royal Complex
Wesley College has had a torrid time this season as the rub of the green has not gone their way!
Their narrow defeat to DS was a testament to that as nothing seems to be going their way. The Eagles on the other hand kicked off the league in style, however, things have been downhill since then.
Neither side has much of an opportunity to make it through, however, a few victories to their name would do both teams a world of good and be a confidence boost as well.

Wounded Kingswood host humbled St. Joseph’s at Pallekale on the 9th
Kingswood hasn’t had the best of starts to 2023 as they are languishing at the foot of the table.
St. Joseph’s meanwhile, promised much but has delivered very little, but still possesses a chance of going through as runner of their group.
Both teams will be aiming to bounce back from defeats as the grueling season seems to be only getting tougher and tougher by the week.
