This year, we’re also gearing up for the 4th edition of the T20 match, a game that will be played with the elegant Royal-Thomian Leather ball, adding an extra layer of tradition and excitement to the event. This isn’t just any day – it’s a veritable feast of fun and camaraderie! Imagine bouncy castles dotting the landscape for the kids to enjoy, exclusive entertainment options curated especially for the ladies amidst the soulful tunes of a live papare band playing its authentic Sri Lankan music.

For those feeling a touch of nostalgia, a cricket match specifically arranged for the veterans and ladies promises to bring back cherished memories.

And yes, the day only gets better with more cricket action including the Veterans Cricket, Second XI, and First XI Cricket followed by an enthralling Rugby showdown that’s guaranteed to be as thrilling as the finale of a blockbuster movie.

The Eden Garden Grounds in Ajman will be exciting – think electric vibes, vibrant cheers, and a community coming together in the spirit of friendly competition. It’s the place to be, transforming into a melting pot of anticipation, the hope of victory, and the joy of participation in this legendary rivalry. But this event is so much more than a competition; it’s a tradition, a celebration of history, and a reunion of old friends who may not have seen each other for a while.

The Royal-Thomian Cricket and Rugby Encounter stands as a testament to its iconic status among Sri Lankans in the U.A.E, embodying the spirit of brotherhood and sportsmanship that has been passed down through generations.

The teams, comprised of former College Cricketers and Rugby players, are preparing to deliver a spectacle of high-quality, fiercely contested matches. Their dedication is evident, as they count not just days but minutes to the event, ready to dazzle attendees with their skills, showcased in a sea of blue and gold or blue and black. Their practice sessions have been rigorous, akin to Olympic training camps, underscoring their commitment to excellence and the spirit of the game. And let’s not overlook the unsung heroes of this grand event – the organizers.

These Old boys, now turned event planning wizards, are pulling out all the stops to ensure a memorable experience for everyone involved. With scrumptious Sri Lankan cuisine on the menu, the event promises to be an unforgettable feast for the senses, offering a taste of home and tradition. So, gear up for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and curry at the Royal-Thomian Event. It’s a day to celebrate the enduring brotherhood between the schools, a testament to the spirit of “Disce Aut Discede” and “Esto Perpetua.” Here’s to a day when the brotherhood of both schools shines bright, continuing to inspire and unite us all.
