Pakistan captain Sana Mir’s 48 runs and four wickets, including a hat-trick, helped her side level the T20 series against Sri Lanka 1-1 with a game left.

Three of the top four batsmen fell for single-digit scores after Pakistan chose to bat but opener Javeria Khan’s 25 provided the initial push after which Sana Mir guided the side to 124 for 6.

Sana Mir stayed unbeaten on 48 off 37 with four fours while Maduri Samuddika took 3 for 25 for Sri Lanka.

Sana Mir struck in her second over to send back captain Chamari Atapattu and Sri Lanka kept losing wickets regularly. Only two batsmen managed to make it to 10 and the highest partnership was 15 compared to Pakistan’s 37.

Sana Mir’s hat-trick came in the 13th over when she bowled Ama Kanchana, and trapped Samuddika and Inoka Ranaweera leg-before to finish with 4 for 14 from four overs. Bismah Maroof took her second wicket to skittle Sri Lanka for 69 in the 16th over.

Chief Scores:

Pakistan women 124 for 6 (Sana Mir 48*, Samuddika 3-25) beat Sri Lanka women 69 (Sana Mir 4-14) by 55 runs.
