Panadura Sports Club and Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club registered wins in the two games of SLC Major Clubs T20 Tournament 2025 played today (26th May) at Colts Cricket Grounds, Colombo.
Panadura Sports Club registered a comfortable win over Ace Capital Cricket Club in their Group A encounter.

After been put into bat first, Ace Capital CC made 99 runs for 7 wickets before the rain brought an end to their innings in the 17th over. The wrist-spinner Dushan Hemantha was the pick of the bowlers for Panadura SC as he grabbed 3 wickets for 26 runs.
Panadura SC were set a target of 101 runs from 16 overs which they convincingly chased down in 14.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Vishen Halambage and Sasindu Malshan anchored the run-chase with useful knocks of 32 and 28* runs respectively.
In another rain-marred encounter, Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club edged past Police Sports Club to register their first win of the tournament.
Batting first, Tamil Union C & AC were bowled out for just 108 runs with the 19-year old Sharujan Shanmuganathan top scoring with a knock of 43 runs.

Police SC were set a target of 108 runs from 19 overs, but they only managed to post 101 runs on the board as Tamil Union bowlers displayed a disciplined bowling effort led by Sachitha Jayatilake (3/6), Tharindu Rathnayake (2/17) and Theesan Vithushan (2/19).
