The Malaysia Athletics Federation (MAF), in partnership with Milo, World of Sports, and the National Sports Council (NSC) Malaysia, will be organizing the 91st Malaysia Open Athletics Championship at Stadium Tuanku Syed Putra, Kangar, Perlis, from 25 – 27 June 2014.
About 600 athletes from all State Affiliates, Armed Forces Malaysia (ATM), Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Syria, Sri Lanka and Thailand will be competing in the Championship.
Sri Lankan participants Madushan Jayasekera Won the Gold medal in the men`s 400 meters event with a timing of 47.34 and Thilina Karunarathne\won the Silver medal in the men`s high jump with a jump of of 2.15 meters respectively for Sri Lanka.
