The 11th Asian Youth Championship will be held from 29th June – 7th July but the squad will be taking part in the Quadrangular Netball Tournament from 8th-12th April as preparations along with the National team who will be taking part in the World Cup in July.

Sri Lanka has won the Asian Youth Championships on three occasions (1998, 2002 and 2015) and was runners-up on five occasions (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013). The last edition of this competition was in 2017 in South Korea where Sri Lanka sank to fourth place.

A 60-player Sri Lanka Youth Pool was selected late last year which was then pruned down to 38 in February this year. The squad was then further reduced to 20 last week.
