Team Manager Mr. Akhry Ameer emphasized the importance of participating in international events:

“This is an essential participation towards motivation and development of the sport. This year we have quite a few new artistic swimmers with some of the experienced seniors trying to better their standards. The meet works well for us in terms of standard, participation feasibility and logistics. Exposure to meets such as this important for our athletes to see the competition outside in order to work towards improving themselves in our locally challenging environment with the limited resources we possess.”
