Sri Lanka Para athletes made a bright start for the islanders as they won two Silver and one bronze medal yesterday at the 13th Asian Para Games held at Asian Main Stadium in Incheon Korea yesterday.
Commando of Army Anil Prasanna and Maduranga de Alwis of Rehab Lanka sports club sealed Silver and bronze medal of Long Jump (T44/42) event to win the first two medals for Sri Lanka. Indumathi Karunathilake another athlete from Rehab Lanka sports club won the other medal for Sri Lanka when she won 200m (T47) bronze medal.
There were 52 athletes and 20 officials representing Sri Lanka in the 13th Asian Para games which included Paralympics bronze medalist Pradeep Sanjaya.
