The Old Zahira Sports Club Football team concluded their tour of Indonesia with a friendly encounter against Amazing FC, played at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.

Since 2011 the team, under the able leadership of their Patron and former National player Naina Mohamed, have made the annual trip to play with foreign veterans teams. The team has travelled previously to Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia on numerous occasions.

This year the team which was to play 2 friendly matches against Jakarta Veterans team in Indonesia from 20th to 24th March 2019 managed to pay only 1 match due to unforeseen problems. The only game against Amazing FC ended 4 -2 in favor of the home team. At half time the score stood at one goal apiece. Haleem Hassimdeen (Tito) scored the goal for the Zahira Vets. In the second half the home team scored 3 goals while Nadeem Sha scored a goal for the visitors.

The two teams exchanged gifts and memorabilia before the kick-off of the game which was played under lights and was witnessed by football enthusiasts.
