The tournament will act as a qualifying tournament for the 2018 Youth Olympics. The selections for both Boys and Girls squads will be held on 5th of February at 8.30 am at Makola Heyanthuduwa National Youth Services Training Beach Volleyball Courts.

Any player born between the 01st of January 2000 and the 31st of December 2003 can take part in the selections.
