The ‘D’ division of the Colombo Super League was host to a couple of thrilling matches as the Nugegoda Cagers played against the Meredians BC and the Real Lanterns played against the Christians.
Nugegoda Cagers vs Meredians BC
The Nugegoda Cagers had a narrow victory against the Meredians, with a final score line of 65-64. Senal Premalal and Dan Chiran were the highest point scorers for the Nugegoda Cagers while Duane Lowe was the main offensive player for the Meredians securing 14 points. Although the Nugegoda Cagers were leading by 10 points going into half-time the Meredians managed to catch up towards the latter part of the game. Fortunately for the Nugegoda Cagers, they managed to maintain a slim lead until the final buzzer taking a narrow victory with a 01 point margin.

Real Lanterns vs Christians
The second match of the day was another close encounter with the Real Lanterns taking honours against the Christians with a final score of 60-57. Senthuran Thevaraja was the highest scorer for the Lanterns securing 22 points while Lanka Rodrigo also scored 22 points for the Christians. Both teams were equally matched going into lemons with an equal score but it were the Real Lanterns who managed to come out victorious at the end of the match.
