The SLC Super Provincial One Day Tournament 2019 which starts on 4th April will be the final selection trial before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in June/July.

The national selectors have named four squads led respectively by Dinesh Chandimal (Colombo), Lasith Malinga (Galle), Dimuth Karunaratne (Kandy) and Angelo Mathews (Dambulla).

This tournament has been organized to finalize the 15-member Sri Lanka squad for the showpiece event in the UK.

The four teams will play each other once before the top two teams clash in the grand final on 11th April. All the matches will be played in Dambulla and Kandy. Since most of the fixtures in the World Cup will be Day matches, SLC have decided to play all the Provincial Games as day encounters.

Apart from the 15 players selected in each squad, SLC have also decided to add seven more standby players for each Provincial team.
