Rahul Karunathilake & Pethiyagoda to turn up in Kandy colours

The Trinity College 1st XV skipper and Sri Lanka under 20 Tuskers player Rahul Karunathilake will be representing Kandy Sports Club this upcoming Dialog Club Rugby Season.

Rahul, a fourth year coloursman for Trinity College is better known as a mobile lock forward who has been a notable figure in the school rugby arena in the past two years. Captaining his team in 2015, the team despite ending 5th in the league drew the 72nd Bradby Shield encounter after a fightback in the second half.

Rahul represented the Under 20 Sri Lanka side that toured Singapore last December. Alongside Karunathilake, his team mate Geshan Pethiyagoda has been enlisted in the Kandy Sports Club squad ahead of the upcoming club rugby season. One of the fastest wing-three quarters in the school rugby segment, Pethiyagoda is set to join the training after he completes his advanced level examinations.
