St. Sebastian’s made easy work of the below par target of 160, winning by 62 runs on the D/L method in the Limited over encounter against Prince of Wales College, as the game was brought to an abrupt end.

The 32nd Limited over encounter between Prince of Wales College and St. Sebastian’s was ended in disrespectful manner as crowds invaded the pitch and the umpires were forced to hand the Sebastianites a 62 win according to the Duckworth Lewis method.

Winning the toss, Prince of Wales captain Vishva Chathuranga had no hesitation in batting first as he wanted to take first lease of a batting friendly surface.

The Cambrian openers came out all guns blazing as the duo put on 43 off 5.5 overs at a healthy run rate of 7.8.

Sadun Fernando was the first to be dismissed off a peach of a delivery by the lad who represented Sri Lanka in a single ODI, Avishka Fernando for 15 runs off 22 balls.

Captain Vishva Chathuranga soon followed as playing a rash heave across the line, losing his off stump for 26.
