Malindu Maduranga notched up a sensational 115 as Mahanama College scored 361 against Royal College to hand the visitors the upper hand while the game between hosts St. Anthony’s College, Wattala and St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa ended for day one with even honors.

Malindu Maduranga bossed proceedings on day one with a sensational century to take visitors Mahanama College to a commanding position with 361 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets.
The Royal bowling had no answer as Malindu took them apart while Eshan Hettiarchchi joined in the act as he managed 71 of his own while Kavindu Munasinghe managed 53 runs to carry the visitors to their 350+ total.
Ganith Sandeepa was the only bowler to shine, bagging three wickets in the first innings for hosts Royal.

St. Sebastians vs St. Anthonys
Kaveesha Dulanjana (4/54) and Kavindu Hettiarachchi (4/64) of St. Anthony’s bamboozled the visitors batting after the Sebastian’s Captain elected to bat after winning the toss.
Thashik Perera 49 was the pick of the batsmen for the visitors even though he failed to reach a deserved half century. Dulaj Silva (44) and Tharusha Fernando (37) were the only other batsmen to register any telling scores as the rest of the batting failed.
Eranga Madushan ended the day unbeaten on 31 as the hosts finished on 72 for the loss of 4 wickets.
