Sri Lanka’s leading junior golfers got off to a composed start as Dhanushan Kumar, T. Deshan and top-ranked junior Reshan Algama all carded even-par rounds to jointly lead the Boys’ 17–21 age group. Meanwhile, Kaya Daluwatte delivered the standout performance of the day to take the early lead in the Girls’ category at the conclusion of Day One of the Faldo Junior Tour Sri Lanka 2026, sponsored by DFCC Bank, which teed off on Tuesday, 6 January, at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
