Yoshitha Rajapakse, will be taking seat as the upcoming President of Sri Lanka Elle Federation, confirms its present President and Western Provincial Council member Ananda Harischandra.
According to Harishchandra, Yoshitha Rajapakse is a person who has more capacity and capabilities than him, to work with additional resources and parties. “Yoshitha Rajapakse heading the Federation will be a positive point for the sport and the future of sport”, Harishchandra noted at a recent press briefing which was held in Seeduwa.
Harischandra also noted that Sri Lanka Navy’s Lieutenant Yoshitha Rajapakse will be appointed to the top seat without any contest, at the elections and the Federation’s AGM, scheduled to be held on March 30. “He responded positively to our request, and that itself is a great thing”, a delightful Harischandra stated.
Sources say, 160 Elle clubs which are affiliated to the Sri Lanka Elle Federation hold full voting rights at the elections. His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapakse had also held the post of President of the Sri Lanka Elle Federation in the past.
Yoshitha Rajapakse was also appointed as the Sri Lanka skipper ahead of the Asian 5 Nations Tournament, recently. At present, he leads the Navy SC Rugby Squad.
