Sri Lanka’s Yevan David etched his name into the country’s motorsport history by securing a remarkable second-place finish in the FIA Formula 3 Sprint Race at Silverstone on Saturday (4th July), becoming the first Sri Lankan driver to stand on a Formula 3 podium.
Representing AIX Racing, David delivered another composed and impressive drive to finish runner-up in the race. His historic achievement marks a major milestone for Sri Lankan motorsport and further underlines his growing reputation on the international stage.
Campos Racing’s Ugo Ugochukwu claimed the first place with a commanding margin of nearly 20 seconds. Ugochukwu’s teammate, Theophile Nael, completed the podium in third place.
