Last year’s Women’s Open champion, Anjalika Kurera will look to be ruthless coming into the tie. With many impressive junior and senior titles to show for in the past year, 15-year old Kurera has certainly proved that age changes nothing when it comes to being a champion.

Rukshika Wijesuriya, on the other hand, is in a league of her own. Born and raised in Oman, Wijesuriya has invaluable exposure on foreign courts. She was recently crowned the Women’s Open champion at this year’s SSC Open Ranking tournament.

In the semifinals, Kurera defeated the reigning National Women’s champion Anika Seneviratne while Wijesuriya bested Women’s top seed Janali Manamperi to advance to the final.
