Royal College, Colombo ‘B’ will clash against Debarawewa National School in the final of the Under 13 Division 2 inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with sponsorship by Sri Lanka Cricket at St. Peter’s College Grounds, Bambalapitiya tomorrow (18th January).
Royal College, Colombo ‘B’ advanced to the second round as the runner up in their group in the first round. Royal College beat St. Bernadette’s College, Polgahawela in the second round. In the pre-quarter final round, Royal College defeated Lyceum International School, Panadura.
Royal College won the first innings against Henegama Central College in the quarter final to book their place in semis. Royal College beat D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo ‘B’ in the semi final.
Debarawewa National School advanced to the second round as the champion in their group in the first round. Debarawewa National School defeated Nalanda College, Colombo ‘B’ in the second round. Debarawewa National School beat Mahanama College, Colombo ‘B’ in the pre quarter final and overcame St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya in the quarter final.
In the semi-final, Debarawewa National School beat Ananda College, Colombo ‘B’ to secure their place in the final of the tournament. Royal College will be led by Rasindu Randira and Nimsara Nethunil will lead Debarawewa National School.
