The final of the SLC U23 Emerging Club Tournament 2025 between Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) and Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club ended in a draw at the SSC Grounds, Colombo, resulting in both teams being declared joint champions.
After being put into bat first, Colombo Cricket Club produced a commanding performance with the bat, posting 361 for 8 before declaring their innings. Leading from the front, skipper Anjala Bandara crafted a magnificent 143 off 259 deliveries, decorated with 19 fours.

His marathon innings laid the foundation for CCC’s strong total. Middle-order batter Inuka Karannagoda added further stability with a valuable half-century, ensuring the scoreboard kept ticking.
For Bloomfield, Mihiranga Nimsara Silva was the most successful bowler, picking up 4 for 78, while Nisala Abeyrathne supported him well with three crucial wickets to keep CCC from running away with the game.
In response, Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club ended their innings on 169 for 4 at the close of play. The batting charge was led by Mineth Premarathne, who struck a well-constructed 55, and Savindu Rodrigo, who remained unbeaten on 53*.
With no outright winner emerging, both Colombo Cricket Club and Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club were crowned joint champions, sharing the honors of the prestigious U23 Emerging Club Tournament 2025 title.
