Thisaru Wanninayaka’s all-round show helps Dharmaraja College take major honors against Rahula College in their traditional encounter worked off at Uyanwatta Stadium, Matara.
Dharmasoka College stuns Nalanda College with a dominant all-round performance in their traditional encounter worked off at UC Grounds, Ambalangoda. Maneesha Rashmika’s brilliant century (112) was the highlight of the match.
The hosts managed to post a commanding 325 runs for the first innings to which Nalanda College replied with a mere 165 runs handing a 160-run lead for the Sokians. After being asked to follow on the visitors once again struggled with the bat but managed to hold onto a draw scoring 123 for 8 at stumps on day two.
St. Anthony’s College registered an innings win over St. Servatius College in their traditional encounter worked off at St. Anthony’s College Grounds, Kandy. The centurion Asitha Wanninayake (111*) and Trevin Mathew who picked up a match bag of 12 wickets starred in Antonian victory.
