St. Peter’s College beat Mahinda College by 5 wickets in the last Tier B Quarter-Final of the SLSCA U19 Division 1 Cricket Tournament 2021/2022, worked off today at Darley Road.

Mahinda College vs St. Peter’s College

Mahinda College won the toss and opted to bat first against St. Peter’s College in the final Quarter-Final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 – Tier B Cricket Tournament 2021/2022.

The decision to bat first did not work as expected as the Southern boys were restricted to 192 runs. Dinura Kalupahana (45), Hiruna Mandila (37) and Pramesh Madubashana (32) chipped in with some useful contributions with the bat for Mahinda College,

The left arm seamer Danal Hemananda (3/22), Niman Umesh (2/29), Shenon Rodrigo (2/34) and Wanuja Sahan (2/35) starred with the ball for the Peterites.

St. Peter’s College chased down the target with ease thanks to the brilliant century made Shenal Boteju. He made an unbeaten 102 runs off 124 balls with 10 fours to his name.

With the end of this game, the four Semi-Finalists confirmed from Tier B segment of the tournament as St. Peter’s College, Isipathana College, Maris Stella College and Thurstan College have booked their places in Semis.
