Thurstan College thrashed Zahira College by 10 wickets at home while Isipathana dominated their drawn game against Richmond at the BRC grounds in Colombo in their respective under 19 division 1 matches worked off on the 25th and 26th of January.

A brilliant team effort from Thurstan college set up a comfortable 10 wicket win for the boys from Reid avenue over Zahira college in Colombo today(26th).
Trailing by 136 runs in their second innings, Zahira College faired a little better than their first innings going on to make 177 with Sajith Sameera top scoring with 57, but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from losing outright as it left Thurstan College with a simple target of 42 runs, which they got in less than five overs.
Pansiru Deshan made a composed half century for Thurstan in their first innings while Dilan Madushanka(4/22) and Naveen Gunawardena(6/59) were the chief wreckers with the ball in each innings.

Isipathana vs Richmond
Pramod Maduwantha was the shining star of the drawn game between Isipathana and Richmond which concluded at the BRC grounds in Colombo today. He went on to make a superb hundred after grabbing five wickets with the ball after Richmond won the toss and decided to take first lease of the wicket.
Isipathana went on to make 348/8 Declared in reply to Richmond’s first innings score of 176 with Maduwantha top scoring with 130. Richmond reached 91/2 in their second innings when the umpires decided to call off the game.
