Former Sri Lankan all-rounder and current ICC elite panel Umpire Kumar Dharmasena has picked his all-time XI.
Dharmasena has named three Sri Lankans, four Australians and a player each from India, West Indies, South Africa and Pakistan.
Dharmasena has picked his former team-mate Sanath Jayasuriya to open the batting along with Matthew Hayden from Australia. Legendary batsmen Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara strengthen the middle order, while Kumar Sangakkara takes gloves in Dharmasena’s XI.
Dharmasena has picked South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis for the all-rounder slot at number seven. The bowling lineup consists four genuine great bowlers in Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, Muttiah Muralidaran and Shane Warne.
Dharmasenas’ all-time XI is captained by two-time World Cup winning Australian Captain Ricky Ponting.
