A message of congratulation sent to the President PCB from SLC on Pakistan’s incredible victory of the Champions Trophy.
Pakistan manage to thrashed the defending Champions India to clinch the title by 180 runs and many of the cricket personalities have wished the Pakistan Cricket team. The Hon. President SLC Thilanga Sumathipala sent out his wishes with a message.
“On behalf of the Executive Committee, the Sri Lanka National team and the entire cricket loving populace of Sri Lanka, may I offer my heartiest congratulations to the Pakistan National Team on a well-deserved and resounding victory in the Champions Trophy 2017.
They say that cricket is unpredictable – and this tournament most certainly proved it. Tournament of epic proportions, where on every day and every pitch cricket was the ultimate hero.
Team Pakistan have played outstanding cricket throughout this tournament and we are proud and privileged as a fellow Asian Nation.
Cricket is the beat of our hearts, and joy of our nations, and this day, Pakistan will be home to much deserved and unspeakable joy!
