The ‘Gajaba Supercross 2025’, another exciting edition of the Asian Paints Causeway SLADAR Racing Championship 2025, concluded yesterday (31st) at the Gajaba Regimental Gravel Racing Track in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura. The champion driver, Ashan Silva, continued his dominance to earn the Best Driver’s award, while promising rider Jacques Gunawardena plucked another Best Rider’s title during the year.
The event was organised for the 24th occasion by the Gajaba Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Autosport Drivers’ Association. During the races, a fleet of over 200 talented and enthusiastic competitors managed to showcase their grit through 24 events.
This track is considered one of the fastest gravel tracks, and the performances of the drivers and riders lived up to every bit of its billing, while a large gathering of spectators flocked around the track under the burning sun.
In the much-awaited motorcar event (SL GT Cars up to 3500cc) where the blockbuster cars are featured, Ashan Silva stamped his class by winning both races, while Manish Goonathilake and Ishraq Wahab followed him on each occasion.
