The Cartman Cup 2025 played between St. Benedict’s College and Wesley College ended in a draw today (1st April) at P. Sara Oval Grounds, Colombo.
St. Benedict’s College resumed their first innings on Day 2 at 102/3 and went onto post 235 runs all out, going past Wesley College first innings total of 208.

The skipper Sharujan Shanmuganathan and the middle-order batter Mevan Dissanayake struck fine half-centuries, anchoring Bens’ innings.
Dinuja Samararathne and Rashmika Amararathne stood out with the ball for Wesley College, snaring 3 wickets each.
Wesley College began their second innings 27 runs behind and posted 255 runs for 7 wickets before the close of play on final day.
The skipper Anuga Pahansara, the middle-order batters Lithum Senuja and Deneth Sigera notched up vital fifties for Wesley College.
The skipper of St. Benedict’s College Sharujan Shanmuganathan who stroked a fine half-century while picking up 3 wickets with the ball won the player of the match award.
