For the sixth consecutive year Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) is hosting the Annual SSC All Island Open Badminton Championship from 02nd to 08th December 2013 at the SSC Badminton Complex.
This is a level 1 Ranking tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Badminton Association (SLBA).
Being one of the premier and much looked forward to annual sports events, the Championship draws nearly 1000 entries each year. Players from all over the country enter a total of 33 events that covers all age groups, from under 11 to over 55 years.
This year the prize money offered will be Rs.500,000/-. In addition to prize money, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winners and runners-up. Semi finalists and quarter finalists too will be awarded certificates with a view to encourage their involvement in the game.
Entry forms are available at SSC & SLBA. Entries are received by SSC up to 1pm on 23rd November 2013.
