Sri Lanka’s upcoming sensation, Samuel Ogbebor will be in charge of the “Double Blues” as they bid to win their first League Championship at the upcoming Schools Rugby League 2020.

Wesley College, who had improved considerably last season ending the league in 4th place, will be determined to progress further in their standings this year as they kick off a home game against Vidyartha College at Longdon Place on the 6th of March 2020.

A dynamic utility player, steering the scrums from the third row, Samuel Ogbebor will indeed enjoy the responsibility of marshalling the ”Double Blues” to victory this year, following his instrumental performances not only for Wesley in the preceding seasons, but also at the recently concluded U19 Asia Rugby Division I Championship, where the Junior Tuskers dominated to emerge unbeaten champions. Samuel was one of the bona fide stars, who contributed immensely towards winning the championship.

Whether it be winning the ball in a lineout, attacking the opponent’s line or defending his own, Ogbebor is capable of it all.  He is expected to be one of the, if not the most impactful player in the upcoming league considering his skills and potential, hence making him a threat to any opposition and one of the players to watch out for in the future. 

Wesley will be coached by experienced Niroshan Weththasinghe, while he will be assisted by present CH & FC player Shehan Diaz.
