The final Colombo fixture of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 ended with no result, as both Sri Lanka Women and Pakistan Women concluded their campaigns on a disappointing note at the R. Premadasa Stadium on 24th October.

The start of play was delayed due to rain, reducing the contest to 34 overs per side, with play eventually beginning at 6.15 PM.

Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu opted to bowl first, continuing her streak of winning all tosses in the tournament. However, only 4.2 overs were possible in Pakistan’s innings before rain returned at 6.33 PM. Continuous rain thereafter forced the match to be abandoned.

With the teams sharing two points each, Sri Lanka finished fifth on the points table with one win from seven games. Pakistan, meanwhile, ended their campaign winless, losing three matches and finishing seventh overall.
