Bangladesh U17 registered a convincing win over Sri Lanka U17 in the third One Day encounter of the three-match series in Chattogram, clinching the series 2-1.

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first, but their innings never gained full momentum as they were bowled out for 179 runs. Middle-order batter Sanul Weeraratne was the standout performer, scoring 66 runs off 91 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. No. 3 batter Hirun Matheesha also contributed with a steady 37 off 53 deliveries, including 2 boundaries.

Bangladesh’s bowlers maintained excellent discipline throughout the innings, with Akash delivering the most impactful spell of the match. He claimed 4 wickets for just 21 runs, playing a key role in restricting Sri Lanka to a below-par total.

In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target of 180 with ease, losing only 5 wickets and reaching the target with 11 overs to spare. Adrito and Jarif Siyam were instrumental in the run chase, each scoring crucial half-centuries to guide their team home comfortably.
