The Sri Lanka baseball outfit finally found their winning rhythm back, but at the time, the horse was already out of the barn. But their surprising 3 – 2 loss to India prevented their progress towards the final.
In the placement stage matches Sri Lankan outfit faced Bangladesh, and the Lankans took a 2 – 0 lead after the very first inning. During the second inning, pitchers from both teams did a good job, as the batters didn’t trouble the scorers.
