South Africa too good for improved Sri Lanka - Netball World Cup 2023

Sri Lanka lost 87-32 to world rank 5 and hosts South Africa in their 2nd Pool C game in the Netball World Cup 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Inside 4 minutes the score was 6-2 but a 5-0 run saw South Africa make it 15-4. The hosts ended the 1st quarter 24-9 with 3 consecutive goals.

At the beginning of the 2nd quarter, both teams exchanged goals and at the midway point of the quarter, the score was 34-15. However, South Africa scored 7 back-to-back goals making it 41-15. At halftime the score was 45-18 (21-9).
