Sri Lanka selectors have named a 16-member squad for the upcoming 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan.
Wanindu Hasaranga will continue to lead the side, while Charith Asalanka will work as his deputy. Sri Lanka’s pace spearhead Dushmantha Chameera will miss the series as he is yet to recover from an injury which he sustained during the ODI leg of the tour.
The left-arm seamer Binura Fernando has replaced him in the squad. Except for Chameera’s exclusion, all the other 15 members in the squad were part of Sri Lanka squad that faced Zimbabwe in their last T20I assignment.
The 3-match T20I series will be played on the 17th, 19th and 21st of February at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
