Sri Lanka is set for a packed and exciting cricketing calendar in 2026, as outlined in the Future Tours Programme (FTP), with both the national men’s and women’s teams scheduled to feature extensively across all three formats, alongside major ICC tournaments.
The highlight of the year for the Sri Lanka men’s team will be the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India.

Hosting a global tournament at home will provide Sri Lanka with a significant opportunity to showcase its talent on the biggest stage, while fans across the island can look forward to witnessing world-class cricket action.
In addition to the T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka’s men will also have a strong presence in the longest format of the game, with six Test matches lined up during the year. These fixtures will be crucial as Sri Lanka continues its push to strengthen its red-ball performances and build consistency at the international level.

The Sri Lanka women’s team also faces a landmark year, with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup set to be hosted by England in June 2026.
