The National Cricket Selection Committee has announced a 17-member ODI squad to face England in the upcoming three-match series.
The most notable inclusion is the recall of experienced all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silva, who returns to the ODI setup after more than two years. De Silva last represented Sri Lanka in the 50-over format in November 2023, and his inclusion adds valuable experience to the middle order ahead of a challenging series against England.
The wicket-keeper batter Lahiru Udara, who was part of the touring party to Pakistan for the recent ODI series, has been omitted from the squad.
All three matches of the ODI series will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo, with fixtures scheduled for January 22, 24, and 27.
