The Sri Lanka Judo Association has made plans to celebrate the World Judo Day for the first time in Sri Lanka on the 28th October 2013 at Judojo from 0930 hrs to 1100 hrs.
The World Judo Day was initiated by the International Judo Federation in 2010 and is an annual celebration of Judo on the 28th October which is the birthday of judo founder Professor Jigoro Kano. The aim of the celebration of this day is to promote the sport in Sri Lanka.
The agenda for the celebration of Judo day includes reading the IJF President’s World Judo Day message, launching the Official Judo Song of Sri Lanka, a Judo Kata demonstration and showing the visuals of the first Judo Dance performed to a Judo song in the world will take place at this simple ceremony.
