The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee has named a 21-member squad to take part in the upcoming 5-match ODI series against Australia.

Dasun Shanaka will continue to lead the team in the ODIs while batters Danushka Gunathilaka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Niroshan Dicwella and Dhananjaya de Silva return to the format, strengthening Sri Lanka’s batting lineup.

Meanwhile, leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, who missed Sri Lanka’s last ODI series against Zimbabwe due to injury, returns along with in-form speedster Asitha Fernando bolstering Sri Lanka’s bowling stocks.

Left-arm spinning all-rounder Dunith Wellalage and speedster Pramod Madushan have earned maiden call-ups to the national team.

All-rounder Kamindu Mendis, speedsters Chamika Gunasekara, Nuwan Pradeep and Shiran Fernando who were part of Sri Lanka’s ODI squad vs Zimbabwe, have failed to make the cut for this series.
