Sri Lanka ‘A’ clinched the three-match unofficial ODI series against South Africa ‘A’ with a game to spare as they registered a 31-run win in the second game played today (2nd September) at Potchefstroom.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka skipper Pasindu Sooriyabandara opted to bat first with an unchanged playing XI.

Kamil Mishara and Lahiru Udara opened the innings for the visitors but their stay at the crease lasted only 6 overs as the former departed after making only 10 runs.
Last game’s top scorer Nuwanidu Fernando lost his wicket for just 2 runs while the skipper Sooriyabandara contributed with only 21 runs.
When Sri Lanka were in a spot of bother at 85/3, Udara and Sahan Arachchige gave impetus to the innings, adding 72-run partnership for the 4th wicket.
Udara was the top scorer for Sri Lanka as he made 86 runs off 95 balls with 11 fours and a six while Arachchige hit 52 runs off 56 balls with 4 fours and a six.
Chamindu Wickramasinghe and Sonal Dinusha finished things off with crucial knocks off 48 and 37* respectively helping the visitors post another solid total on the board.

In reply, the hosts were bowled out for 239 as wrist-spinner Dushan Hemantha ripped through the South African batting lineup with a five-fer.
The third and final unofficial ODI between the two sides will be played on the 4th September at the same venue.
