The 1st unofficial Test between the Sri Lanka A team and the touring Bangladesh A team was supposed to commence today (23) at FTZ Sports Complex (BOI), Katunayake, but no play was possible due to rain.
This is the 1st of 2-match a 4-day unofficial Test series between the two teams followed by a 3-match unofficial ODI series. The selection committees of the respective cricket boards have chosen two strong squads to battle it out in this series. The majority of players have played each other in the recently concluded series between the Sri Lanka Emerging team vs Bangladesh Emerging team in Bangladesh.
The Sri Lanka A team is led by the experienced middle order batsman Ashan Priyanjan while the opposition is led by 27 years old Mominul Haque who has made his Test debut in 2013 vs Sri Lanka.
