NCC vs Sri Lanka Ports Authority SC – GROUP B
The Group B game between NCC and SLPA SC concluded today at the NCC grounds with the home team taking major honours. After winning the toss and restricting the visitors to 213 in the first innings NCC posted a commendable 335 in reply as Sri Lanka U19 caps Hasitha Boyagoda and Malinga Amarasinghe top-scored with 81 apiece.
The SLPA boys lost 4 wickets in their 2nd innings as play came to an end giving NCC a first innings victory. In bowling for NCC, former Ananda Vice-Captain Chamika Gunasekara bagged match-figures of 7 wickets after Maistonian Ravindu Fernando picked up 6 with his off-spin in the first innings.
Apart from those top-performers, Lithila Aravinda and Sachindu Colombage scored half-centuries for their respective teams.
