Sri Lanka Cricket Super Under 19 Provincial Cricket Tournament 2016 final has been pushed back by a day and rescheduled to 11th,12th and 13th of May at R. Premadasa International Stadium on the advice of the Tournament Committee.

The finalists are Southern Province led by St. Aloysius’ College wicket-keeper batsman Navindu Nirmal and North Western Province captained by Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala left-arm spinner Damitha Silva. Incidentally, the first-round matches were played as two-day encounters but the final will be a three-day encounter. The Southerners won two games outright out of four games beating Eastern Province and North Central Province quite convincingly to top group B with 56.83 points while North Western Province edged out two strong teams from Western Province, North and Central to take top spot of group A with 50.21 points by just winning one game on outright and all other three on first-innings.
