National Umpire Accreditation Course

The National Umpire Accreditation Course was successfully performed at the National Institute of Sport Science in Colombo with an engagement of over 75 umpires, as organized by Sri Lanka Badminton.

Umpires from all throughout the nation attended the two-day training, which was held in conjunction with the 70th National Championship.

Another significant step forward for badminton in Sri Lanka was the course’s use of all three major languages.

Along with completely committed trainers and umpires, participants in the course included bankers, employees of the public and commercial sectors, and other individual parties. After the academic sessions, a written exam and a practical test were administered.

The majority of those who applied and were accepted for the course were chosen to serve as line judges at the Nationals, which commenced yesterday.
