Former Wales & Japan Assistant Coach and Current Head Coach of Hong Kong Rugby, Dr. Leigh Jones will be in Sri Lanka for a short period in order to help uplift the Science College Rugby Team ahead of the upcoming schools’ rugby season.
Leigh Jones who has over twenty-five years of coaching experience at International and Premiership level has been instrumental in the rise of Hong Kong rugby during his tenure as coach.
It was a combined effort of the two Jones, Leigh and Eddie, that caused the biggest upset in the 2015 Rugby World Cup where Japan defeated South africa. It was Dr. Leigh Jones who played a key role in formulating the defense strategy against the Springboks in 2015.
Dr. Jones’ visit has been organized Mr. Bilal Yusuf, Head Coach of Science College, and supported by the Science College Rugby Committee. They hope that this will help Science Rugby finetune their skills ahead of the schools’ rugby season.
