It was a busy weekend in the School rugby season with five matches taking place around the Island.
Royal College VS Wesley College
Wesley College showed spirit and fight last week against Trinity and they almost pulled off an upset against Royal College this week. Royal College however pulled off a narrow 3 point victory to keep their unbeaten streak alive.
Royal College 17 ( 2T, 2C, 1P ) – Wesley College 14 ( 3T, 1C )
Isipathana College VS St Anthony’s College
League favorites Isipathana College had another easy victory today against the minnows St Anthony’s College at Nittawala Grounds. Isipathana College pilled up big scores in both their matches and their looking dangerous this season.
Isiapthana College 43 ( 7T, 4C ) – St Anthony’s College 17 ( 2T, 2C, 1P )
Science College vs St Peter’s College
Both teams had a brilliant start for their season last week. This match was meant to be a crunch one and both teams put up brilliant show. Science made a strong comeback to steal the victory in the second half after been 10 points behind for about 60 minutes in the match.
Science College 13 ( 1T, 1C, 2P ) – St Peters College 10 ( 1T, 1C, 1P )
Dharmaraja College vs Kingswood College
This battle between the two hill country giants ended with a convincing victory to the Rajans. Kingswood College with two loosses this season will have to turn things around in the coming weeks

St Joseph’s College vs Trinity College
Trinity College affected a big win against the Josephians at Pallekale Grounds. Trinity showed glimpses of their dominating rugby which has been missing in the previous years.
