Richmond College took on Revatha College today in an inter school cricket match which was worked off at Balapitiya.
Ravatha College in the first innings scored 97 runs while all the players were sent back to the hut in 29.3 overs. Charith Mendis and S.B. Silva played hard to score 27 and 21 runs while Savin Nanayakkara and A.K.Tiron sent down 2 and 7 wickets each.
In reply, Richmond College battled hard and scored 191 runs in 39.3 overs for a loss of all the wickets. Charith Akalanka and Hasitha Madushan were defeated in their 40s (40 and 44) while Kelum Nanayakkara along with Prabhath Nishantha scored 21 and 23. S.Kumara and E.B. Soysa took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
Revatha College in the second innings scored 59 for 5 wickets in 18 overs with a contribution by Lakmal De Silva (26). A.K.Tiron and Chamath Priyamal showed their colours on figures taking 2 wickets each.
